Refund Policy
Last updated: May 21, 2026
Summary
Mr. FAUN deliverables are custom-generated digital goods produced specifically for you the moment you complete checkout. Once the PDF and project assets are unlocked in your account and emailed to you, the work has been performed in full — and the order becomes non-refundable, except in the specific scenarios listed below where we agree the failure is on us.
Why no general “change of mind” refund?
Each Mr. FAUN order triggers an AI generation pipeline that produces a unique maze concept, planting plan and PDF deliverable tailored to your brief, your plot, your photos and your preferences. The output cannot be resold or reused for another customer. For this reason it qualifies as:
- Goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized — excluded from the EU 14-day withdrawal right under Art. 16(c) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights;
- Digital content supplied not on a tangible medium, where performance has begun with your prior express consent and acknowledgement that you lose the right of withdrawal — excluded under Art. 16(m) of the same Directive.
By clicking the purchase button and completing checkout, you expressly consent to immediate generation and delivery of the deliverables, and you acknowledge that you lose your statutory right of withdrawal as soon as the deliverables are made available to you.
When we do refund
We will issue a full refund (or, at your choice, regenerate the project) in these cases:
- Technical failure to deliver. Your payment was confirmed by Paddle but the deliverables never unlocked in your account and we are unable to resolve it within 7 days of your support request.
- Duplicate charge. Paddle charged you twice for the same project due to a technical glitch.
- Demonstrable defect on our side. The deliverables are corrupted, empty, unreadable, or clearly do not match the brief you submitted — and the cause is on us, not a mismatch between your expectations and the AI-generated output (the AI nature, style and fidelity of the output are described on the product page before purchase).
- Unauthorized transaction. The charge was made without your authorization. These cases are handled directly by Paddle as Merchant of Record under their dispute and chargeback process.
When we do not refund
- Change of mind, including after viewing or downloading the deliverables.
- The generated style, plant selection, render quality or maze layout differs from what you imagined — these are creative AI outputs and we make no guarantee of subjective fit.
- The plot data, photos or brief you submitted were inaccurate or incomplete.
- Local constraints (climate, soil, permits, building codes, HOA rules) make the concept unsuitable for your site — verifying feasibility is your responsibility before construction.
- You ordered the wrong tier (e.g. Professional instead of Deluxe). If you would like to upgrade, contact us and we will issue a one-off discount on the upgrade tier rather than refunding the original order.
How to request a refund
Email hello@mrfaun.com within 14 days of the order date with:
- Your Paddle order ID (from the receipt email);
- The email address used at checkout;
- A short description of the issue, and screenshots if relevant.
We review every request manually and reply within 3 business days. Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback — most issues are resolved within a day by email. Filing a chargeback on a delivered, custom-generated deliverable without first contacting us may result in your account being suspended and the deliverables’ usage licence revoked (see Terms of Service, Section 7).
Statutory rights
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence that cannot be waived by contract.
